At Fratelli Lebanon, our purpose is clear
Fratelli is an initiative born from the Marist Brothers and De La Salle Brothers, dedicated to empowering vulnerable individuals and communities, particularly in challenging contexts like Beirut, Lebanon. Through education, skill-building, and community support programs, Fratelli fosters hope, dignity, and self-reliance for children, youth, and adults.

We envision a world where all human beings live together as brothers and sisters. Through inclusive and transformative education, we aim to cultivate this spirit of fraternity, especially among the poor and those living on the existential margins of society, where human dignity is most at risk.

Our Commitment to Safety
At Fratelli Project Lebanon, our Safeguarding Policy ensures the safety, protection, and dignity of every child, youth, and vulnerable adult we serve. We have a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, harassment, and exploitation, creating a safe and empowering environment through strict codes of conduct, adherence to international and Lebanese standards, and a focus on participation, confidentiality, and accountability. Our commitment is put into action daily through trained staff, a dedicated Safeguarding Focal Point, regular awareness sessions, and clear reporting pathways.

Our Story
From Vision to Vitality
In April 2015, the Superiors General of two Catholic congregations the Marist Brothers and the De La Salle Brothers decided to jointly address the challenges faced by displaced persons from both educational and community-based perspectives. Lebanon was selected as the focal point due to the intensifying refugee crisis in the region at that time.
By September 2015, two Brothers had arrived in Beirut and gradually expanded the community while laying the foundations for the project. Eventually, they established a socio-educational center in the town of Rmeileh, near Sidon. This center remains active today, serving over a thousand beneficiaries each week through 20 psychosocial and educational programs.
